    The Round Building

The Round Building, David Mellor’s purpose built cutlery factory designed by Sir Michael Hopkins, was built in 1990 in the Peak District National Park in Hathersage, just outside of Sheffield. Constructed atop the circular foundation of a former gas holder, the factory is a fantastic example of modern architecture in a rural landscape. All cutlery production takes place in this facility.
