We enjoy partnering with artists and designers who share a similar fascination with materials and aesthetic.

Our current Artist Collections are with clothing & house wares designer Christina Kim of Dosa, chef & food visionary Alice Waters & artist Roy McMakin.

Chez Panisse Collection //

A collaboration between chef & food visionary, Alice Waters, clothing & housewares designer, Christina Kim and Heath Ceramics - our newest line of dinnerware was developed out of a mutual appreciation for beauty in natural ingredients and craftsmanship. The collection was meticulously designed for use in Alice Waters' famed restaurant Chez Panisse with the goal of complementing the food, as well as the restaurant's interior. The result is a beautiful new line of Heathware with refined, yet organic, elegance.

DOSA Tea Set //

The Phases of the Moon Tea Set represents a vision shared by Heath and Dosa: a sincere appreciation for handcrafted objects and for the artistic traditions that produce them. Christina Kim’s design takes inspiration from Edith Heath’s hand-thrown teacups and from the handcrafted vessels of indigenous cultures. The pieces are crafted in Heath’s classic California stoneware. The unusual glazes of complex depth and finish were developed specially for the collection. The tea cups come in sets of four with a tray and are offered in either dark or light glazes, representing phases of the moon observed by day as well as night.

Roy McMakin Collection //

Roy McMakin – an artist who uses unusual mediums to express his art - has designed a collection of vases for Heath Ceramics, entitled Language & Redemption. He tweaked a range of forms, from classic to modern, to create objects that resemble useful pieces. McMakin transformed them into humorous yet functional vessels, leaving them open to many interpretations. The vases are sold as a set and available only through Matthew Marks Gallery in New York.
