This is a special bowl inspired by our Rim line. The outside is glazed in layers of Cast Iron grey over KPFA resulting in a subtle and beautiful mottling. The inside is unglazed and etched with a distinct pattern. When paired with a wooden pestle this bowl can be used as a mortar to grind seeds and spices.

Design Series began in 2013 as a creative pursuit. With clay as his medium, Tung Chiang explores a singular subject each year that culminates in a show and sale of his work. Throughout its eight years, several of his ideas have informed Heath's everyday product lines, from new shapes to dynamic glazes.
