These beautiful napkins are born from a collaboration between Christina Kim of Dosa and Gasali Adeyemo, a Nigerian-American craftsman based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The constellation design is a clever way of creating a serendipitous pattern from the drippings of cassava-based resist paste from other indigo dying projects. Cotton fabric is placed down as a drop cloth. The resist drips down onto the drop cloth and over time a dense and complex pattern is created. This drop cloth is then dyed and the resist washed away to reveal a beautiful pattern. These pieces are custom made for our Summer Seasonal collection, and are available for a limited time only.
