#18 Enjoué Cone Bottle in Magenta & Black

This brand new collection from Cedric Mitchell is the culmination of an exploratory journey through glass. Recent artist residencies gave Cedric the opportunity to slow down and spend time having fun with the material. Through this playful process he's created brand new techniques and modes of expression. This piece shows off one of these new techniques. Through the use of molds he was able to position the short pieces of glass cane in an array. Then after melting and transferring them to a larger mass he followed up with more traditional blowing techniques to create the final form. The result is a whimsical array of wavy opaque lines across a translucent volume. This collection is available exclusively through Heath Ceramics online only.
