This brand new collection from Cedric Mitchell is the culmination of an exploratory journey through glass. Recent artist residencies gave Cedric the opportunity to slow down and spend time having fun with the material. Through this playful process he's created brand new techniques and modes of expression. This piece is inspired by colorful children’s toys and household appliances from the 1980s and 1990s. Cedric first creates a kit of parts from different colors of glass in different whimsical shapes. Then, through an iterative process of sketching and stacking a final form is discovered and the parts are fused together. This collection is available exclusively through Heath Ceramics online only.
