Handcrafted in California since 1959
In the late 1950s, Edith Heath expanded her small company’s offerings to include ceramic tile alongside her celebrated dinnerware. She and her design partners had been experimenting with glazes and shapes, creating a product that soon became a sought-after architectural material for both homes and public spaces.
Today, Heath Tile comprises over 100 glazes across seven distinct tile lines, all still made on our unique Manganese clay body, developed by Edith Heath. While most of our tile is made custom to order, we do offer a few options for purchasing pre-made tile.
Heath tiles are certified by Declare for chemical transparency, making them a good fit for LEED, WELL, and Living Building Certified buildings.
