Every piece is still made in our original factory in Sausalito, California and crafted in the same manner as it has been for the past 55 years.
Summer 2011
Our new Summer 2011 Collection celebrates a mix of materials in handmade forms. Sets combine wares made by Heath Ceramics with objects by artisans working in various forms, such as: glass, felt, leather, wood and paper. Additional information about the Summer 2011 Collection:
-The themes are making and gathering, collaborating, eating and enjoying the season with family and friends
-Warm shades of yellow mixed with white, inspired by the summer.
-The signature piece for the season is a spun lemongrass single stem vase, made in a limited quantity of 150 pieces. The technique is achieved by gently touching an etching tool to the spinning vase. The top layer of glaze is stripped away to reveal the glaze beneath forming an individual hand detailed texture, unique to every piece.
-The hybrid single stem vase by Adam Silverman takes a Heath glaze and shape and couples it with a band of Adam's signature gritty, volcanic firing technique.One-of-a-kind ceramic beads, leather and chain necklaces made in collaboration between Julie Cristello + Heath.
