In over a decade since its debut, Chez Panisse Line undergoes a reintroduction, showcasing iconic shapes in an assortment of new glazes, from classic to new, matte to glossy, and warm to cool (so cool!).
We’re introducing new glazes: blushed Sorbet and warm, glossy Cedar, balanced by rich, matte Indigo and bright Bluejay. Each is a natural partner to core glazes Slate, Sand, and Jicama, and brings something new and fresh to existing dinnerware collections. Together, the line forms an elegant, cohesive collection of tableware, designed and made in Sausalito, California.

Designed in 2006 with slow food pioneer Alice Waters for Chez Panisse, its forms and shapes pay homage to both French elegance and California clay, encouraging togetherness around the table and quiet, material pleasure.
Through this collection, we’re reconnecting the community and creating something born out of togetherness, shaped by shared experience, and defined by the place in which we live.
The Chez Panisse Line embodies shared values between Heath and the restaurant, favoring local, sustainable, and beautiful, and opposing fast, cheap, and easy. Defined by place and with attention to every detail, each piece is a frame for the most tasteful, ethical food—the tables they adorn, vignettes for an unhurried life.
The Edible Schoolyard Project
As it has been for 13 years, a portion of all Chez Panisse Line proceeds benefit The Edible Schoolyard Project, a program that integrates edible education across every academic subject, providing a free, sustainable school lunch for all children K–12. Its mission: buy food directly from farmers and ranchers who take care of the land and their workers and teach students the values of nourishment, stewardship, and community. Since it was founded by Alice Waters in 1995, the program has expanded, grown, and inspired organizations and organic kitchen garden classrooms throughout the country.
Nearing 15 years since the collection was designed and 30 years since the inception of Edible Schoolyard, the updated Chez Panisse Line celebrates the pleasures of everyday and the impact of the Slow Food Movement.
Elevated, refined, and grounded in a movement towards a better way, the reintroduced collection is a true testament to good design, beauty in nourishment, and elegance in the everyday. Click through to explore the palette—we can’t wait to see what you make with it!
