Yes! We offer tours of our dinnerware factory in Sausalito and tile factory in San Francisco. You can sign up for a tour at either location on our Factory Tours page.
We sell our products directly from our website and our four California Showrooms.
Our Los Angeles, San Francisco, Ferry Building and Sausalito showrooms (including the Overstock Tile Shed) are open.
For online orders, we offer In-Store Pickup at our San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Sausalito locations. We also ship around the world.
Items come back into stock in usually 2 to 3 weeks. This time frame may be longer during the month of December.
As an alternative to currently Out of Stock items, we have Virtual Gift Cards available.
We do not offer any pre-orders or wait lists for either out of stock or to-be-released products. The nature of our small-scale manufacturing process unfortunately does not lend itself to advance orders.
Our ceramics come in a wide variety of finishes, ranging from smooth and glossy to textured and matte. Each glaze has its own finish, that is inherent to its glaze color. Yes, due to new tax laws and recent Supreme Court rulings we are paying—and charging—sales tax on items we ship to customers outside of California.
In 2018, we refreshed our Coupe dinnerware palette for the first time in over 15 years! The collection still has the same phenomenal 1940s shapes, now in a host of classic and new colors that connect our past with our future. As part of that refresh, a selection of glazes were archived and phased out of production.
Again in summer 2021, we refreshed the Coupe, Chez Panisse, and Serving Bowl palettes and the following glazes are no longer in production: Salt/Shadow, Agave, Rosemary, Linen, Persimmon/Pumpkin, Ocean/Salt, Jicama, Cedar, Aloe/Vine, and Sorbet, as well as the corresponding basic and full dinnerware sets Cloudview, Woodward, Josephine, Bonita, Linen, and Rosemary. We do not offer appraisals for vintage items. We suggest looking at Laguna Pottery, eBay, and 1st Dibs for comparison of vintage Heath sales.
We warranty our first quality ceramic products for up to one year from
purchase for proven manufacturing defects. If you encounter issues with
your Heathware, please email or call Customer Service with details and we
will help resolve the issue.
