Inspired by a thumbprint in wet clay, each 2x8 tile has a circular indentation on one end made by hammering the hex end of a bolt into the clay before firing. The glaze color, Bright Yellow, was inspired by the leaves of the ginkgo trees surrounding the building. The tiles were installed in different orientations, creating a sense of movement within the large color block.","blog_id":5975834657,"author":"Justine Donato","user_id":6899630113,"published_at":"2018-06-14T11:57:00-07:00","updated_at":"2018-07-11T11:35:42-07:00","summary_html":"","template_suffix":"json","handle":"a-personal-touch","tags":"","image":{"created_at":"2018-06-14T12:08:09-07:00","alt":"","width":1360,"height":904,"src":"https:\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/2116\/7717\/articles\/Installation_Inspiration_Commercial_02.jpg?v=1529003289"}}, "metafields": {"collections":"custom-tile", "credits":"Architecture: Tod Williams & Billie Tsien Architects", "image_caption":"Photo: Michael Moran", "products":"g44-bright-yellow-ceramic-tile", "suptitle":"Tile Inspiration"} }
