Akio & Ayano: Forms of Family at Heath LA

Akio Nukaga and Ayano Shioya are returning to Heath Los Angeles with a new collection of works. Forms of Family highlights the distinctive style and technique of these two accomplished artists—and celebrates the unique bond they share as members of the same family, studio, and creative tradition.Akio and Ayano, members of our extended Heath family, will be traveling from Kasama, Japan to celebrate the collection in Los Angeles. Join us for an opening party and sale event on Friday, July 24 at Heath’s LA showroom.
On July 25, Clay Studio Director Tung Chiang will also host a talk with Akio and Ayano, with live demonstrations. In addition to the new collection, Akio will be signing copies of his book, My Ceramic Journey, which will available for purchase.
