Join us at Heath Los Angeles for an afternoon with editor and publisher Dung Ngo, celebrating the launch of his new book, Knife Fork Spoon: Modernist Cutlery 1900–2025, and Darrin Alfred, curator of architecture and design at the Denver Art Museum, currently home to the Knife Fork Spoon exhibition.
In this new publication, Dung Ngo spotlights the often-overlooked artistry of flatware, revealing how designers reinvented these humble items in response to new materials, social change and evolving aesthetics. Join Dung and Darrin as they explore how the objects we use in everyday life reflect and shape the way we live.
The event is on November 14 in the Heath Los Angeles Showroom at 3:30pm, with the conversation at 4pm. Books will be available for purchase, and refreshments will be served.
Spots are limited—RSVP Here.
For our friends in the Bay Area, join Dung, Su Wu, Catherine Bailey, and Jennifer Dunlop Fletcher on November 17 in celebration of his new book and Su's new book, Mesoamerican Modern: Ancient Ideas in Contemporary Mexican Homes. Get the details.
