Kohchosai Kosuga
Kohchosai Kosuga has been making bamboo wares in Japan since 1898. Their philosophy combines traditional bamboo shaping techniques with contemporary design concepts with a unique sensitivity that derives from their founder—an Edo-era painter. Kohchosai Kosuga crafts their wares from the Madake and Mousouchiku bamboo varietals. This bamboo is sourced from the mountains of Hyogo, Nara, and Kyoto—areas known for their incredibly strong and durable bamboo.
