Introducing Annual Editions, a new way to collect Heath
Since its debut in 1948, the Coupe Line has exemplified Edith Heath’s penchant for simple, functional dinnerware forms—and the longevity of good design.
To celebrate more than 75 years of Coupe, we’re introducing Annual Editions: collectible runs of Coupe shapes in unique glazes, available for one year only. 2025’s lineup includes a Dinner Plate, a Salad Plate, and a Bread & Butter Plate. Each piece features a dual-glaze fade technique applied with different glazes and finishes, resulting in a bright and cheerful assortment. Classic forms in a fresh palette.
Annual Editions aren’t just for Heath collectors; they’re a wonderful way for anybody to add personality to the table, complement existing dinnerware, or commemorate big life milestones. (They make great gifts, too!)
Like all Heath dinnerware, the 2025 Coupe Annual Editions are made by hand in our original Sausalito factory, and each piece includes a unique glazer’s mark and a stamp denoting the year on the bottom of the plate. The collection launches on November 7, 2024, and will be available until the end of 2025.

Design Inspiration
Glaze exploration is central to the work we do at Heath, and Annual Editions give us a new way to showcase the beauty and flexibility of our materials and techniques. For the 2025 collection, we dove into the archive and revived Edith Heath’s iconic “Sea & Sand” fade glazing application. Each plate pairs two glazes and features a gentle gradient that picks up intensity at the rim. The resulting pieces are playful and vibrant, and still at home alongside Heath’s standard dinnerware assortment.What's Next?
Annual Editions put an intriguing spin on classic Coupe shapes. While the first launch focuses on plates and draws inspiration from Heath’s history, each subsequent year will be different. We may choose to highlight different shapes, develop novel glaze techniques, collaborate with other makers, etc. Coupe’s timeless look and feel makes it an excellent canvas for experimentation—stay tuned!
