As a plant grows tall, we often stake it with a vertical element to support its growth. In this case, I wanted to design a planter with a dedicated location for a climbing dowel. The small cylinder resembles a chimney within the pot, and the outer bowl acts as the saucer. A glossy terra cotta glaze runs in a gradient, deepening in color at the bottom to emphasize the shadowed curve of the vessel. — Tung Chiang

This piece was photographed with Chinese meadow-rue. If you select Curbside Pickup during checkout, your piece will be presented to you with a plant inside of it—either the one photographed or something similar. Curbside Pickup is available at our San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Sausalito locations. Orders marked to ship will not include a plant.

There are 2 drainage holes in the bottom of the planter. There is also a 0.5” dia. tube for holding a support dowel.
Occasionally wipe with a damp cloth. If necessary use a mild, non-acidic, non-abrasive dish detergent.
This piece may scratch wood or other soft surfaces when placed.
