I love the low profile on traditional bonsai planters, which bring the root as close to the ground as possible. These two shallow bowls nest within each other, with a pair of interior holes that can be used to secure the root. The extended edge on the inner planter makes it easy to lift and remove when it’s time to release water from the saucer. — Tung Chiang

This piece was photographed with a Cereus Paolina cactus. If you select Curbside Pickup during checkout, your piece will be presented to you with a plant inside of it—either the one photographed or something similar. Curbside Pickup is available at our San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Sausalito locations. Orders marked to ship will not include a plant.

There is a small drainage hole and two small holes for gardening wire in the bottom of the planter.
Occasionally wipe with a damp cloth. If necessary use a mild, non-acidic, non-abrasive dish detergent.
This piece may scratch wood or other soft surfaces when placed.
