Book Signing with Steven Ehrlich and Takashi Yanai
Join us as we welcome Steven Ehrlich and Takashi Yanai of Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects as they discuss their new book Outside-In: New California Modernism.
Friends of Heath Tile, Steven and Takashi are masterful in architectural design that blurs the lines between natural and constructed environments, and their new book is no different. Through a survey of their home designs that highlight their perspective on the California Modern, the book represents beautifully the concept of bringing the outside, in. Full of drawings, photos, sketches, and source material which dig into the genesis of their designs, the book tells a story of design, material, and making a modern home.
There will be a brief intro by Zahid Sardar, Editor-in-chief of SPACES Magazine and author of the book’s foreword, and a lively Q&A, followed by drinks, bites, book signing, and chance to further mingle with Steven and Takashi among fellow architecture enthusiasts and professionals.
