Susan Kim of
My Dear Tejas is hosting a mending workshop at Heath LA. Inspired by a trusted pair of Levi’s—her work “uniform” that she has been mending over the years—the goal of the workshop will guide you through the basics of mending, reviving and celebrating the items in your closet that are as worn as they are loved. From Susan Kim:
"I have named these Levi's, Therapy Pants. The past 10 years have not been the easiest in many ways - moving businesses, moving homes, love found, love lost, etc. - but I am so grateful that there is always hope and love. With each stitch, I think of love, hope, perseverance, pain, laughter, beauty, nature, friendship, etc. and I find happiness and calmness."If the workshop's not in the cards for you this time around, never fear—Susan will be at Heath all weekend to share a selection of women’s jackets and small leather goods. Made from sustainably sourced American deerskin, Susan's designs have always been a treat at our annual Make Good Market in San Francisco. She’ll be at Heath LA all weekend, so swing by, say hello, and scoop up a jacket of your own!
