Founder, Kunal Desai, grew up in Mumbai surrounded by family in the apparel business. His family history, curiosity and sense of wanderlust led to the creation of Umber & Ochre. Their family-run factories in India combine traditional and modern methods with a commitment to sustainable and responsible production practices. This intimate supply chain allows for small batch processes and limited edition fabrics using only natural fibers that are hand-woven and naturally dyed. This results in goods that feel good and promote a sense of well-being and comfort.
