Thoughtfully designed, over time
The cabin is nestled in the Bear Creek neighborhood in the Alpine Meadows Valley, an idyllic private development built by the original investors of the Alpine Meadows ski area in the late 1960s. The cabin was designed in 1973 by local Tahoe Architect Charles O. Matcham Jr. as a 1,500 sq. ft. winter cabin.
For seven years, Cathy and Robin worked to transform a modest 1973 Tahoe cabin into their personal retreat. Their lives evolved and the cabin is no longer part of the family, but the lessons learned in creating a welcoming space for living, live on, as interior inspiration.
